Happy 2011!

My New Year's Eve manicure! I HAD to use my new OPI. Today is the last day I can use as much of it as I want withouth my nails looking overdone. And today absolutely needs glitters! So I added it to every nail with a dotting tool, unfortunately this picture doesn't show that properly.

A little explanation:
Thumb: pink and golden fireworks, made with a pink striper and a small dotting tool (I don't have a golden striper).
Index: made with a striper, no further explanation needed I guess.
Middle: these are oliebollen, Dutch food we traditionally eat at New Year's Eve. With icing sugar! I used a dotting tool for the oliebollen and a sponge for the white sugar.
Ring: champagne! I used Essence's great nail art pen for the glasses.
Pinky: it's almost twelve o'clock! (Well, some kindly mentioned that it's more like eleven o'clock...) Again, Essence's nail art pen helped me out.

BlackBerry manicure

I got it! OPI Show It And Glow It from the Burlesque Collection! It costed €14, but it's worth every cent! After spending the afternoon shopping in Amsterdam withouth having bought a single thing, I thought I deserved this polish. I've been craving it ever since I saw a picture of it.

And I decided to do a Blackberry manicure with it:

Black·Ber·ry man·i·cure Noun  /ˈblakˌberē ˈmaniˌkyo͝or/
Manicure with the tumbs painted in a flasy color that's different from the rest of the nails, so they stand out when typing on a BlackBerry.

I have a phone from Stone Age, but it has the same effect - I almost get blinded by a blur of bling when sending a message. It's impossible to secretly send a message when in college, friends have been asking why my messages contain so many mistakes lately and I'm considering wearing sunglasses even though it's snowing here in Holland. But I love it! I even think I will be able to handle the hell that will arise when I have to take it off...

My photo doesn't show all of the awesomeness of the polish, so I'd like to refer you to pictures of others who have been succesful in capturing the glitter overdose in a picture. I love it!!

OPI Dating A Royal

After the first coat/po první vrstvě:

First I have to say the real color is different from the first picture. It´s darker and not so bright but still pretty. I like this dark blue color as well as Orly´s dark green Enchanted Forest. Both these colors are not opaque cremes but a little jellys. Dating A Royal covered not as well with 2 coats which I have. I have on my nails (nail tips and matrix) some white spots after the second coat.

Nejdřív musím upozornit, že barva na první fotce neodpovídá realitě. Ve skutečnosti je tmavší a ne tak výrazná. Mám ji ráda stejně jako tmavě zelenou Enchanted Forest od Orly. Obě mají trochu gelovou konzistenci, nejsou krycí krémové. Dating A Royal nekryl moc dobře ani ve druhé vrstvě (mám 2 bez nadlaku). Mám u nehtového lůžka a u nehtových odrostů takové bílé fleky, kde ten lak nehet nezakryl. V první vrtsvě pruhoval.

Lilac Cremes

men - Done Out In Deco and Lucky Lucky Lavender,

2 women - Splash Of Grenadine,

child - Splash Of Grenadine.

My favourite is Splash Of Grenadine. A little jelly consistence, the most shiny of them.

Můj favorit je Splash Of Grenadine. A opět jako minule - je trošičku gelový a nejlesklejší ze všech :)

OPI Flower To Flower

A pretty nail polish from OPI´s Summer Flutter collection. I have 2 coats with Seche top coat./ Lak, který se mi dost zalíbil, z kolekce Summer Flutter od OPI. Mám dvě vrstvy s nadlakem Seche.

Quidditch

Last week I went to the new Harry Potter movie with a friend and I made her an appropriate manicure. Ah well, I know that Quidditch isn't played at all in the seventh movie, but I really liked the idea and wanted to make it.

The gorgeous blue sky is What's With The Cattitude from OPI, with sponged clouds. With a nail art pen I painted two players on broomsticks (one from Griffyndor (Harry!) and one from Slytherin, as you can see from the colours of their capes) and the six hooped goal posts (three on each side). The balls are done with a dotting tool: the red Quaffle and the two black Bludgers (one of which is chasing Harry), and did you already notice the Golden Snitch? The player from Slytherin is just flying away from it... Haha.

This is my favourite nude color of this time. It´s shimmer. I have 2 coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Tohle je momentálně moje nejoblíbenější tělová přirozená barva. Je to shimmer - s prachovýma třpytivýma částečkama. Mám 2 vrstvy s nadlakem Seche Vite.

Blue Cremes

In this part you´ll see my light or medium blues. It was very difficult to photograph them, some colors look almost the same but they aren´t. All are 2 coats without any top coat.

V této části uvidíte moje světlé nebo středně modré krémovky. Bylo těžké je vyfotit, některé barvy vypadají stejně a přitom nejsou, u jiných se ubrala výraznost a barva dost zkreslila. U všech mám 2 vrstvy bez nadlaku.

Thumb/palec - OPI What´s With The Cattitude? - the color is realistic/barva odpovídá skutečnosti

Index finger/ukazovák - Essie Shelter Island - realistic; more jelly and dusty than No Room For The Blues on the middle finger/reálný; víc gelový než No Room For The Blues na prostředníku a takový zatemnělý

Middle finger/prostředník - OPI No Room For The Blues - quite realistic; more creme and bright than Shelter Island but not so bright as on my picture/docela reálný; víc krémový a výraznější než Shelter Island, ale ne tak výrazný jako na obrázku

Ring finger/prsteník - Zoya Robyn - not so realistic on my picture; the most bright color of them all and different blue from the previous two/barva na mé fotce moc neodpovídá; nejvýraznější ze všech a je jinak modrá než předchozí barvy

Pinky/malíček - OPI Ogre-the-top-blue - in real life it´s darker, brighter and more interesting I think/ve skutečnosti je barva podle mě o trochu tmavší, výraznější a zajímavější

Have you got any of these colors? Which do you like the most? My all-time favourite is Shelter Island. I´d like to know how would you describe OPI´s Just Groovy if you have it. Thanks!

Two pretty colors

I like them both. It´s OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender (an interesting dusty pink) and OPI Done Out In Deco (pretty dusty lilac which has a great consistence and which applying is also great). I have two coats with Seche Vite Top Coat. In real life they both are a little different than in the pictures. People who don´t usually do nail polishing mostly like these colors. I´d like to know how would Done Out... look next to OPI Do You Lilac It?

Jsou to mé dvě oblíbené barvy. OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender (zajímavá "dusty" růžová) a OPI Done Out In Deco (jemná "dusty" fialová, která má navíc skvělou jakoby gelovou konzistenci a dobře se nanáší). Mám 2 vrstvy a nadlak Seche Vite. Ve skutečnosti jsou jejich barvy docela jiné než na fotkách.  Lidem, kteří si moc nelakují nehty, se tyto barvy většinou dost líbí. Zajímalo by mě, jak by vypadal Done Out... v porovnání s OPI Do You Lilac It? Možná je brzy budu mít oba ;)

OPI Manicurist Of Seville

I have two coats without any top coat. Realistic color, on the index and middle finger.

Mám dvě vrstvy bez nadlaku. Barva na ukazováčku a prostředníčku odpovídá skutečnosti, jen na obrázku vypadá trošku víc do hněda, ve skutečnosti je spíš červená.

OPI Ate Berries In The Canaries

I have two coats without any top coat. I like this color but it´s hardly wearable for me now. Rather Manicurist Of Seville from the last post than this.

Mám dvě vrstvy bez nadlaku. Je to už podruhé, co o této barvě píšu. Mám ji docela ráda, ale teď je pro mě špatně nositelná. Raději Manicurist Of Seville z minulého příspěvku.

Stripes white-orange

This was a bad attempt to paint my nails :) I did it before removing my Chubby Cheeks. I used furthermore a white Essence Tip Painter and an orange OPI Flit A Bit./ Tohle byl špatný pokus o malování na nehty. Hrála jsem si před odlakováním Chubby Cheeks. Použila jsem na něj bílý Essence Tip Painter a oranžový OPI Flit A Bit.

Green and Blue Shimmers

All colors are 2-coater with Seche top coat. Thumb - Zoya Suvi, index finger - OPI Here Today Aragon Tomorrow SUEDE, middle finger - China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald, ring finger - OPI Yodel Me On My Cell, pinky - Essie Aruba Blue./ Všechny laky jsou dvouvrstevné s nadlakem Seche. Palec - Zoya Suvi, ukazováček - OPI Here Today Aragon Tomorrow SUEDE, prostředníček - China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald, prsteníček - OPI Yodel Me On My Cell, malíček - Essie Aruba Blue.

OPI Color So Hot It Berns

It´s lighter than OPI´s Vodka & Caviar but darker than Red My Fortune Cookie. Interesting but not a hit for me. More creamy than Vodka. A little tomato. 2 coats with Seche Vite top coat./ Je světlejší než Vodka & Caviar od OPI, ale tmavší než Red My Fortune Cookie. Zajímavý, ale pro mě žádný hit. Víc krémový než např. Vodka, která byla do gelova. Připadá mi trošku rajčatový. Mám 2 vrstvy s nadlakem Seche Vite.

OPI Crimson Carol

I hope you don´t mind these foot-pictures but I didn´t make any photos of Crimsol Carol (alone) yet so I decided to post about it now... I have 2 coats with Seche top coat. I like that color./ Doufám, že těmito snímky nikoho nepohorším, ale ještě jsem o samotném Crimsol Carolu nepsala, tak jsem se rozhodla o něm napsat teď. Je z loňské vánoční OPI kolekce a líbí se mi. Schne docela do hladka, čímž mě překvapil a pomalu se začnu pídit i po dalších podobných z této kolekce, např. Dear Santa a Smitten With Mittens (pokud je někde seženu). Mám 2 vrstvy s nadlakem Seche.

Purple Shimmers

I have 2 coats of all the colors with Seche top coat. Thumb - China Glaze First Class Ticket, index finger - China Glaze Let´s Groove, middle finger - China Glaze Stella, ring finger - OPI Diva Of Geneva, pinky - China Glaze Bogie. My favourite is Stella but I like them all. What about you?/ Mám dvě vrstvy všech barev s nadlakem Seche. Palec - China Glaze First Class Ticket, ukazováček - China Glaze Let´s Groove, prostředníček - China Glaze Stella, prsteníček - OPI Diva Of Geneva, malíček - China Glaze Bogie. OPI Here Today Aragon Tomorrow SUEDE

I really like this color. It dries matte. I have 2 coats and Seche Vite top coat. I was annoyingly surprised at the brush, the application was not comfortable for me./ Jsem zelený fanda, takže není vyjímkou, že se mi tento lak líbí. Schne sám o sobě matně. Použila jsem 2 vrtsvy a nadlak Seche Vite. Čím jsem byla nepříjemně překvapená, byl štěteček, takový tlustý neuhlazený, lak se špatně nanášel.
