MaxNails - Pearl + Diamond Sky

Een tijdje geleden liet ik jullie deze Notd zien. Vandaag ga ik de lakjes swatchen/reviewen welke ik als basiskleur heb gebruikt bij de Notd!

A while ago I showed you this Notd. Today I'm going to show you the swatches/review from the polishes I used for the base!

MaxNails - Pearl is bovenstaand lakje. Het lakje heeft een wittige gloed, maar is niet in your face 'typ-ex' wit. Dit lakje komt bij de action vandaan voor €0.45. Zoals je kunt zien is het lakje nog redelijk te doen, vooral voor dit prijsje!

MaxNails - Pearl is above polish. The polish is pearly white, but it isn't 'in your face' white. I bought this polish by Action (a store in the Netherlands) for €0.45. Very cheap, as you can see it's not a horrible polish, especially not for the price I payed for it!

Pearl heeft een frostfinish. Ik hou zelf niet zo van frosty lakjes, omdat deze finishes vaak heel streperig zijn. Ook pearl heeft zo zijn strepen. Heel erg dekkend is dit lakje ook niet, ik heb hierboven 3 laagjes Pearl gebruikt. Ik kwam er laatst trouwens achter dat als je Frosty lakjes mat maakt met een matte topcoat dat de strepen dan verdwijnen! Ik verzeker alleen niet of dat voor ieder lakje geldt.

Pearl has a frost finish. I'm not a big fan of a frost finish, those finishes are almost streaky, Pearl is a streaky polish too. It's not really opaque, I used 3 coats for this one. P.s. When you mattify your frosty polishes, sometimes the streaks are dissappearing! I'm not sure if that counts for all polishes with a frost finish.

Om dit lakje een beetje op te vrolijken besloot ik er een laagje MaxNails - Diamond Sky over te doen. Ik vond dit glitterige lakje er ontzettend mooi uitzien in het flesje, maar was echt een grote teleurstelling op mijn nagels.. Glitters? Waar!? Het leek een beetje alsof ik allerlei spikkeltjes in mijn nagels had. Ach misschien toch eens China Glaze - Fairy Dust kopen! Ik heb hier overigens 1 laagje Diamond Sky aangebracht over Pearl.

To glisten this polish a little bit up I decided to put a coat of MaxNails - Diamond Sky over it. I really liked this polish in the bottle, but on my nails.. It was a big dissappointing! Glitters? Where? It looked like I've done my nails in some sand. Ah maybe I've got to buy China Glaze - Fairy Dust. I putted on one coat of Diamond Sky on above picture.
