Marbled French Nails

This tutorial on marbling is designed to help you learn how to do marbling on your own nails. Victoria has broken it down into simple steps to help you follow along. Learning how to do a French manicure with marbling is fairly straightforward and best of all, it's fun, anyone can do it, simply follow along with Victoria's easy step by step instructions which are accompanied by detailed photos showing each stage of the tutorial from beginning to end.

STEP 1

You must do this step swiftly so that colours don’t have a chance to start to dry, for if they do, it will be hard to marble them. Choose your first colour, and ‘drop’ it on the nail in several drops. Do not attempt to create a pattern.
STEP 2(a & b)
Do the same with the 2nd colour, filling in blanks, and then the 3rd. With each nail, choose a different colour to be prominent, and mix it up. Never drop the colours in the same place/pattern twice, if you can help it.  This keeps each nail individual. Be sure to do all of this swiftly, without giving pause for the polish to dry.  This is not a test on how to be neat. If you "drop" too much, don’t worry. You can 'drag' it off with the striper brush, and clean the brush off, before continuing. There are no mistakes to be made here. It's all just fun
STEP 3
Drag your striper brush through the polish, in any direction that you choose. A lot or a little bit.  Again, you cannot get it wrong.
STEP 4
Dip a brush in acetone.  Dab it on a wipe or napkin/paper towel to remove excess acetone, and clean up your smile line. Re-dip into acetone as needed. Do not use a brush 'soaked' in acetone as it will run into your marbled French and mess it up.
