Greydient

The story of the birth of this design:
It was a nice and sunny day in the Netherlands. I went to Amsterdam to see the canal cruise of the Dutch soccer team; they were welcomed by half a million people who were celebrating their second place in the World Cup 2010. I was wearing a different colour on each nail, because I had recently bought several new polishes which I of course I wanted to try. Being a girl, I also had to do some shopping that day. I bought some polishes and nail art stuff and immediately began to paint it partly over the colours I was already wearing, adding more and more layers... And at the end of the day, my left hand looked like this:

As you hopefully can see, the middle finger has been the inspiration for this design! Just like many nail art designs, this one isn't difficult, it just takes some time. I painted my nails grey, sponged the tip black to make a nice gradient, zigzagged with a silver nail art pen and finally added some glitters. The reason I'm posting this now is that a few days ago I suddenly saw this design appear on another blog (I posted this picture before on Tumblr), so I thought it was time to let the world know it was my idea, haha ;)
